Dexter Beef

Darlingrange Dexter beef is Tender and flavoursome.

Dexter Rump SteakThe well marbled beef will retain its juicy texture even when cooked well done.

We have found it best to grow out our beef for a minimum of 24 months to allow the full flavour to develop.

All sides of beef are best hung 10 – 14 days after slaughter to attain maximum tenderness and flavour.

Unlike supermarket beef Dexter Grass fed beef will often be much deeper red with more colour in the marbling.

A traditional side of Dexter beef is attributed in the following manner. Carcase weight range of 175 to 200kg.

Whole beast per side approx 95kg you will get approximately the following:

Packaged sides usually weigh 65kg not including excess bones.
